Orlando Lunaire

(2010)

A mash-up, experimental opera combining Handel’s baroque opera Orlando with one of the masterworks of twentieth-century atonality: Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire.

A radical combination of early and modern music, video projections, avant-garde fashion and opera, the piece was produced in collaboration with Toronto’s Classical Music Consort. First performed in a storage shed in Toronto’s West End, in August 2010.
